It seems they would just list the size that you are setting it to.
For example, 400x300. But instead they list two settings for each
selection, for example:

795x470 (832x624 Maximized)

I don't get it? In the first place, there is no Maximize button in
the upper right of my view window - just an "X" to close it. In the
seconds place,m why are these preset view size such odd sizes?
795x470 . . . huh ???

Don't worry about these numbers - they make little sense, anyhow.

What that means is that your current viewing size is 795x470, and if it were
in a maximized browser viewport it would be 832x624. Paying too much
attention to these numbers will lead you to confusion for sure.

Just read this (dreamweaver oriented, but good info anyhow), select a
minimum supported viewport width for your design, and go for it.

In your example, the figures refer to the approximate viewable size of
the browser (795x470) allowing for browser window borders, vertical
scroll bar, status bar, and menu and typical tool bars, when the
browser is maximised in a screen resolution of 832x634 without any
sidebars.
The width tends to be accurate (give or take a pixel or six), but the
height will vary according to browser and/or user settings.
