I prefer to see directory listings in detail so that I
can see the size of the file and date. When I switch
from folder to folder, the system displays icons for the
new folder. This means I have to select details again.
I would like to fix it so that I always see the details.
Is there any way to do this?
 
Ah yes! Open any explorer window, customize the view the way you like, then
navigate to Tools > Folder Options > View tab. Click on "Apply to all
folders".

increases that amount.
