Can anyone tell me how i can view my computer from a normal TV set so
can view films via cd/dvd rom, and games, if so can you tell me "i
anything" what i will need...thank

Usually, you would need a video card that has a S-Video Out connection and a
TV with a S-Video In. You connect the PC S-Video Out to the TV S-Video In
and tell the system/video play to use the S-Video as the monitor connection.

BTW: S-Video display has a lot less resolution than the standard VGA or DVI
monitors.

If you have a new digital TV with multiple inputs it may have a VGA or
DVI input connector on the back. In that case you can connect your
computer's video direct to the TV, although you may need a splitter
cable if you want to have both the monitor and the TV connected. You
would also need to ensure that your video output settings were
compatible with your TV set's capabilities.

If your TV is older then it probably has just an S-Video input
connector, in which case you will need a video card with S-Video
output plus an S-Video cable to connect them. S-Video output is
normally limited to 640 x 480 resolution so games could be problematic
but DVD movies should be okay.

Good luck
