View as Slide Show Is not Available

Whe I go into a folder that has pictures, the "View as
Slide Show" option is no longer there. I have
cconfigured it in Tools/FolderOptions/Tasks/Show common
tasks in folders, but it does not show up.

Any suggestions?
 
Check to see if you lost automatic functions that XP associate with picture
files.
Place your mouse pointer over a photo file name or thumbnail.
A textbox will open. The first item listed should be Dimensions in pixel. If
this is not listed, repair everything this way:
Click on Start, click on Run and type the following in the opening textbox:
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
and press the Enter key.
Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI....
