Videos Play Half Way Through then pause?

My video plays half way through on Microsoft Powerpoint 2003 then it stops
suddenly and goes back to the very first slide?

Where did the video come from? It sounds to me as if it has a "marker" in
the video file that the MCI player can't handle.

Off of a Hdd Video Camera, Then it was edited and saved in a Windows Media
audio / video file format, it is also 135 MB is there a size limit to which
powerpoint can play a video? And i check the path length and its all good but
its just this one video?

Barret, I know, more questions than answers. :-) What did you use to
convert the video to WMV? The reason I ask is that many editing apps embed
markers or other "stuff" in the file. As a suggestion, download GSpot
(search google) and install it and take a look at the video file. It should
tell you if the file has anything "extra" in it.

Oh, and no, file size should not be an issue. I use video files that are
often 500 to 600 meg.

And a shameless plug, PFCPro was made to correct these very sorts of
problems. You might want to install it and use the two week free trial to
process the video into a format that is more compatible with PowerPoint.
(You can always remove the add-in after the trial is over.)

Hmmm, strange that some play and some do not. Did you use the exact same
settings on all of them? Does the failing video have any active links or
hot spots in it?

Then my guesstimate is the same as before, there is unwanted content
(marker, etc.) in the file. Perhaps placed there due to its size.

Not to beat a dead horse but did you try using PFCPro? It really is
designed for these types of issues.

Oh, one more thought, have you tried playing the video all the way through
in the Windows Media Player? Does it display the same behavior?
