videos are light, pages type is light

In general I am visually impaired not blind yet, But with
XP the settings are bright the type is light, and so are
the videos on net. before XP they were fine.

For the text, you may want to try the Clear Type setting in XP. You can
find it in Display> Appearance> Effects. Change the setting for font
smoothing from Standard to Clear Type.

You can fine tune this a little bit by visiting:
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/cleartype/tuner/1.htm
Allow the XP clear type package to download and install. Then step through
the 4page tuner, selecting your preferences as you go.
