intel celeron 2.8 with on board video and has 64mb allocated (set by hp i guess) if i get 128 or 256 mb pci card is this better ( will i notice a difference in gaming. No i do not have a agp slot. any help or advice would be appreciated. Currenly my games (halo, rainbow six, athena sword gta etc. but all the options for video are at the least amout possible)
 
Inexpensive computers often leave the AGP slot off the board
for two reasons...
It saves then $1.00 on the mobo cost and
Most importantly, you have to buy a new computer to play the
games you want to play.

A PCI graphics card should be better than the on-board
graphics. You can increase the performance by increasing
the system RAM to 512 or more. The 64 MB is probably the
maximum that the system can use.

For your next computer, be sure to read the spec sheet and
make sure what your upgrade options are and what the
computer can do out of the box.

AGP, current best, then good on-board, then PCI, then the
cheap shared memory on-board. Just my opinion.

1) Lose the caps. it's yelling, is incredibly rude and makes your posts
extremely hard to read.

2) Lose the SMS-speak. This is Usenet, not your mobile. You're not going
to run out of characters.

3) Lose the unnecessary punctuation. One question mark/full stop is quite
sufficient.

4) If your computer only supports PCI graphics, then may I venture to
suggest you need to upgrade. You're not going to find a 128 or 256MB PCI
card. The PCI bus architecture just isn't fast enough.
 
Don't post using all caps, please. It is "shouting" and
rude.

If you increase the RAM, often the amoint of shared video
RAM will increase, check the graphics properties to see.
Your system has some severe limitations for game playing.
I'd save my money for a better game machine. $100 for an
obsolete graphics card will be wasted when you move on. The
money will almost buy you a new mobo.

Checkout the ScreenSavers TV show or their website
www.techtv.com for the $500 game machine. They are building
a good inexpensive game machine, it will be shown next week

Don't be a moron. You posted in all lower case initially (not a capital
letter, full stop or any form of punctuation in evidence). If your eyes were
that bad, you'd have been consistent at least.

I suggest you book and appointment with your optician at your earliest
convienience and ask for a stronger prescription.

Otherwise, people will just think you're a f*ckwit.
