Video won't play

I import video into editing software (adobe premiere), then export as an avi
file. When I try to insert into powerpoint, I can see the first frame, but
once I push play, the video goes white. I don't know what the problem is
since I've done this before and it worked fine.

What format are you exporting the video from A P in?

If you run the vid through the convert function in Windows media encoder
series 9 there's a good chance it will work. You also need to make sure that
the path length to the video is short - ideally in a folder on the C drive
with the presentation in the same folder

When you exported as an AVI did you select a codec (compression format) with
it? If so which one?
