Video transitions

When inserting transitions between photographs I am only able to insert a
transition every TWO photographs! I have tried everything to be able to get a
transition between each photograph with no result. Anyone have any ideas as
to what may have happened to the program or what I am doing wrong?

Maybe you have your Picture Duration
set lower than your Transition Duration.
Find these settings at:
Tools / Options / Advanced tab.

The picture duration and the transition duration are the same. I have not
touched them so I presume that they are the "default". Each are 5 seconds. As
I mentioned, the first transition goes in with no problem. The second will
not register as entered. The third goes in with no problem. The fourth will
not register etc..!
I will try reducing the transition time and see what happens.

That's your problem.

FWIW...The default is:
Picture Duration : 5.00 seconds
Transition Duration : 1.25 seconds

Reducing the transition time
should clear it up.

And if you are using the same
transition for each image the
following steps may be useful:

Try this...

Ok....all pics are on the timeline...

Change to Storyboard view...

Go to....Edit / Select All...
(at least one had to be selected first)

With all pics selected...right click
the Effect / Transition you wish to
add and from the menu...choose...
"Add To Storyboard"

This is a useful group even though I have Vista. Is there a comparable
Windows Movie Maker newsgroup for Vista? Thanks.

PapaJohn

John, you were right. The settings were wrong. As I said, I clicked the
"reset factory default" button and the setting appeared as you said, "
duration 5 secs and transition 1.25 secs.
It now works. Thank you very much.
Diane.
