Hmm, seems my last post did not post..how odd/annoying. Here is a brief summary of my reply because i'm too lazy to write it all out agai
Anyway my suggestion for finding what this codec is would be to open the video file in virtual dub. Then look in the file properties on the file menu and it will show some kind of codec code
If you do a web search with this code you should find some results that will shed some light on the matter
You can downlaod virtual dub for free by the way...just search for it.
