video stops suddenly for a second or so

After I have taken a video and upload it to microsoft movie maker, when I
then send it to veoh.com for syndication with google, youtube,etc., a problem
develops. The first few minutes are fine. Then suddenly the video hesitates
for a second or so, starts for ten or twelve seconds, stops and repeats this
process off and on for 6 minutes. Finally, the last minute or two are once
again fine.
 
If the problem only arises once it's gone to veoh.com then it must be at
their end. Perhaps the video isn't comptible?
