Everytime I watch a video I have to go into video
settings and change the hue all the way to the left or to
the blue end of the spectrum. I have installed the latest
version of media player and it still does not play the
video with the correct color untill I make an adjustment
has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it??
Thanks Bob

Do you have the latest graphics drivers for your card? Do you have the
latest version of DirectX?

After checking a few news groups I went into my control
panel/ Display Properties/Settings/Advanced/S3Overlay/
while running a video on media player you can adjust
brightness, contrast, hue, saturation. I just clicked on the
defualt setting and all is back to normal! Trying to
manually adjust this will totally mess up the video
picture default is the best setting! this will only work
while media player is running.

go to media player options then performance and advanced
and uncheck the box next to "use overlays".

thanks for the tip anonymous. This worked for me too. Odd thing was that
the S3 advanced tab said my RGB video selection did not support overlays.
Yet, I unchecked the box in WMP and that fixed the hue. another odd thing,
the first time I looked at that overlay setting in WMP it was not checked.
Only after messing with the settings in the display settings advanced tab did
it finally show up as checked in WMP. Then unchecking that box fixed it.
thanks again
