Video segments from mini DVD only will show a few seconds

I can watch my video no problem, but when I Import it to Movie Maker it only
will play for a few seconds and ends as if that is all the file has.
Any ideas what is going wrong. Thanks

The file is a VOB file. Should I have to convert this
