Video quality

I recently shot a video with my camcorder, and i wanna change the video
quality, i don't like the home video look, How can i change it to make it
seems more professional? (more like a movie or music video)

Please Help me. ;(

the brand is sony , the model # is ccd-trv308 460x digital zoom optical 20x
I burned the video onto a video cd, then saved to my hard drive
