Hi All

my windows media player Ver 9.0 dosen't desplay the video,
only sound , how i can fix this problem .
and i used realplayer one same problem

help
thanks

It's nearly ALWAYS a codec issue:

Download and install G-Spot from
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

Once you analyze the AVI file, it will tell you with which codec it was
compressed. An uncompressed AVI file is over 12gb per hour, (yes, GB not
mb) so it is highly unlikely you have an uncompressed AVI file. A
compressed AVI file needs to have the correct codec installed on your PC
BEFORE it will play correctly.

The two most common codecs are DiVX and XVid.

The extantion for the video .dat , it's working from any
another computer , i installed the letest windows media
codecs Ver 8.0 still i can not see it .

i used the prgram , same problem

thanks

Then it's most likely a VCD file.

Open Windows Media Player.... use File, Open and see if you can get it to
play that way. If still the same problem, then it sounds like it's a
corrupted file.

i can open it from other computer from windows media player

the file is not damage .

the problem with codecs may i reinstall the video and sound codecs for
windows `xp , it is a same problem sound ok but no video
thanks
