Video Player Crash

When I try to play a WMV file my player crashes. This occurs whether I use
Windows Media Player or RealPlayer. I suspect the problem lies in the codecs
or some other underlying system.

Have you installed any new drivers lately?? Also, what video card ar
you currently using

Have you installed any other drivers recently? Also, what video car
are you using??
 
The last thing I installed was Pinnacle Studio 9 which was an upgrade to
Studio 8 which was on the system. It has drivers for the analog capture
card. What I really need to know is how to remove and reinstall codecs.
