Can a video clip from Roxio Videowave Movie Creator be
inserted into Powerpoint? If so how. Videowave saves
video in either a DV or MPEG format.

Thank you.

Ken,

The DV format is not supported, however the mpeg format is *IF* the file
follows the Redbook standard for the mpeg format.

I never done it, but try going to the menu, insert, movies and sounds, and work from there

I just posted a similar question to this group a few days
ago about playing DV encoded avi's within ppt...

A reply from Adam Crowley re: a tip by Taj suggested
changing the file extension from .avi to .mpg

Worked like a champ and looked great in ppt2k, win2k on a
1.5 ghz machine.

720 x 480 x 30 fps... cool!

A couple of gotcha's however...

Everything looks stretched horizontally because of the
difference in aspect ratio between pixels on a computer
screen and a video monitor. So round things look oval and
squares look rectangular.

DV files are huge, about 1GB per 5 minutes. This means if
you need to burn the ppt plus video file to a CD you can
only fit about 3 minutes of video on the CD.
