video IN to the computer

Hi. got a Saphire Radeon 9200 Atlantic with VIVO.

I have tried to connect my camcorder with s-video, using the s-video IN on
the card. It seems however that the computer can't find the camcorder :-S

I can't find any documentation on this. Do anyone know what i'm doing
wrong?

(the card got connections fro analog computer monitor, s-video out, video
out, s-video in, video in)
 
Seems those solutions all require the use of the MMC app. I'm uncertain
whether I'm content with the app or thinking it's a POS.
My card's an "old" 8500DV, I've ordered the MMC 8 CD so we'll see if they've
gotten it right finally.

MMC's default settings always make my catpured image taller than it is wide.
Who designs this stuff?

ATI MMC 8 is buggy as ever, go back to VirtualDubMod or whatever else you
were using.
