I used to be able to show a video file *.mpg in a slide of my presentation of Powerpoint 2000, Windows 2000, which does not show nor play in my updated Powerpoint 2003, Windows XP.What can I do?

It is a video decompressor issue and Microsoft has an update or search the net to find an updated decompressor that fits your video card

Thanks Dav
I can play the video file *.mpg in Windows Media Player 9.00, but as I said, no longer in my PowerPoint 2003 version. Is your suggestion still valid? You say I have to update my video card driver. On my computer, I find two Controllers, which might apply
Graphics Controller Intel(R) 82845G version 6.13.1.3317 an
Audio-, video and Game Controller Crystal WDM AC'97 Driver for ICH4 by Cirrus Logic, Inc version 6.13.10.610
Thanks for your hel

call microsoft and they can direct you to a website with
the correct decompressor, I don't have the site as it was
given to my boss. It's a video decompressor that for some
reason was excluded in 2003. I am also using 2003 on XP
and I've found other problems with the text boxes as well.
