I know you can place a picture inside an autoshape...

Is it possible to play a video inside of an Autoshape?

I have a camera lens and would like to play a video file ONLY inside the
lens...the audience doesnt see Media player etc...

Anyone have any ideas if Powerpoint can do this?

Pretty sure this can't be done in powerpoint. You could edit a video in After
Effects or similar overlaying the masked video on a still image of the camera
to get this effect but it wouldn't be easy.

Apologies; I am not replying to your query but I cannot begin a 'new'
question. When I click New / question it does not allow me to type in the
question I want answered - so this is the first question - How? What am I not
doing? Now to my query:
I am using MSPowerpoint. I was editing my shapes and texts on the slide.
When I let go of the mouse after I move a shape, the file moves on to the
next slide. This happens every time I move my shapes.

Thanks -

Technically PowerPoint cannot do this. But you may be able to visually
create the effect. Movies do not play in PowerPoint, but on a layer on top
of PowerPoint (see http://www.tlccreative.com/images/tutorials/movies.htm
for more info). So if the movie is positioned and sized to play 'within' a
shape (ie. make the rectangle of the movie fit inside the area of the lens),
then when the movie plays, it will appear to be inside the lens.

Note: the movie must be a rectangle, so it will not play within the curved
area of the lens.
