I am trying to capture video using WMM and a VCR. I have an HP Media Center
PC that has a Hauppage TV Tuner card installed. There are composite video
and audio jacks on the front of the machine. I have the VCR connected to
those ports. When I try to capture in WMM, the preview window shows video
for a second or two and then freezes. I do not get any audio either.
I have tried all the different settings with WMM and can't get it to work.
As a test I downloaded InterVideo's DVD authoring program. Within a few
minutes, I had captured video but was unable to burn in to DVD. So my
question is why cant WMM work with the same exact hardware that another
program can? Is there some setting I may have missed or is WMM really only
meant to work with digital sources?
