video effects in the new version

I just recently downloaded a winxp update pack that included a newer version of moviemaker than I previously had. Previously, I could edit video effects in each individual clip - doing things such as fade in, fade out, halfspeed, etc. I can no longer find these options anywhere. What am I missing?

What update pack are you referring too?

What is the version of Movie Maker you are using? It should be Version
2.0.3312.0 (basically version 2)

If you have got the above version, and, your effects etc have disappeared, it
is a problem more and more people are experiencing. As far as I know, Microsoft
have no solution to the problem. There is of course at least two solutions to
it, Do a system repair (If the XP disks you have permit that) or, do a complete
re-install of XP. Very dramatic as any documents/files on your hard drive will
be lost during the install.
