Just set up a dual boot system, Win98SE and Windows XP Home Edition. I have an
ATI - Rage 11c AGP video card that works perfectly well when running Win98.
However, with XP running, I get traces of the edges of previous displayed
windows, and the screen is generally annoying to look at. "Residue" would be
another way of explaining it.

ATI has no information on this card at all. Not even in their discontinued
items. I can't find a driver for XP anywhere. Can someone be of assistance?

Thanks

ATI sells chipsets to other makers who make cards (ATI also
makes cards under their own brand) so you need to check with
ATI for the drivers for the chipset. You can find
information about your card with AIDA32 (Google will find it
for you). If you know who marketed the AGP card, see their
web site for a driver or get the closest ATI driver for your
card.

Rage IIc is a very old card and the only drivers are built-in to XP and no
updates. If you want a better display in XP, you may be better off buying a
newer card.

That's likely why ATI doesn't even show it, even in their "discontinued"
hardware!

Thanks for the info Jim. My card is mfg. by ATI, as confirmed by Aida. Man,
that's a powerful program! Far better that Win98 System Info. Anyhow, the Rage
2 is so far out of date that even ATI have discontinued it from their
discontinued list! I will buy a new one. Thanks again.
