I used update to get driver for my Sis 650. Now the screen has a few small
probs and there's the yellow (!) in the driver manager against the video
driver, Now my security cameras dont work. All I want to know iscan I install
new driver over the other or do I have to uninstall and then reinstall. Will
i lose all video if I do this?
Please someone respond as I have had this up for several days now.

Most manufactures suggest that you first uninstall the old drivers before
you update to newer ones.
No you wont lose all video if you do this your vid card will revert to XP
drivers.

Just roll back your driver to the last one used, this option will be
somewhere in the "display" interface in control panel.

Never Install Hardware Driver updates from Windows Update!

The drivers posted there are for enterprise machines that must run non-third
party drivers for service/support contract reasons. In addition, any
driver posted to Windows Update will be a "baseline" driver. You should
only install drivers from the website of the manufacturer.

Thanks mate. Last night I checked for updates again and reinstalled the driver via that and everything is OK. I had first got hold of Registry Mechanic and it might have helped. Thank you
