video downloads

cant download video clips. i right click but cant save target/save target
as, etc. because that area is shaded.
 
Could be the folks at the other end don't want you to download them and have
set things up that way - that's why the option is greyed out.
 
True streaming video is not cached and cannot be saved in the same way as an
image. Something like Flash swf is cached and can also be saved-although
Flash is not technically a streaming application. If you really want to save
video footage you need an application that intercepts network data packets
like Web Stream Recorder Pro http://www.sytexis.com/wsrp_userguide.php This
will save avi, mov, wma, asf, wmv and probably more-but I only had a need
for mov, which is the Apple Quicktime format. The results are
excellent.-great for online video tutorials.

as, etc. because that area is shaded. this is a new pc [ms win. xp home]. on my old pc i was able to open, save target, download, run/play, pictures, video clips to my video folder in my documents, using realplayer, quick time, windows media player, from these movie/movie clip download sites, [one uses torrents and azureus] dont think theyre only streaming video and i use dial up.
