Video does not work in WMM

All of a sudden, my WMM 6 does not display videos anymore from a MP4 video
segment. I have audio. When examining the properties of the media, it lists
the mp4 file as audio file. 2 days ago, I was able to create and publish two
short vidoe clips from the same meida input. What could be the cause of this?
 
I also have a similar problem. Sometimes WMM will preview jpeg, gifs and
other movie files... and sometimes it doesn't! I've never been able to
identify why this is. Currently it will only preview audio and no picture.
Any suggestions??
(running on XP)
