Video Display

I have a problem mirroring my screen from the laptop to the
projection for a presentation. I cannot switch between
monitors although Windows does recognize the additional
monitor. Sometimes the projection on the projection turns
out to be an extension of my screen on the laptop. None of
the keys function and the mirror option is usually
unavailable on the display menu in the control panel. Is
there anything I can do to fix this?

Ensure you have the graphics drivers for your notebook from the

Dear Cari or others,

I have a similar problem. I have a Dell Dimension 2350. I have a
Dell E171Fb flat screen. Windows 2000 Pro. All works fine and dandy.
I used to be able to go to DOS in full-mode, using alt-enter. I also
have a couple of databases in DOS mode still (if you can believe it)
and I was able to view these. I recently download the updated drivers
from Intel for my Intel 82845 Graphics card. (version date 02/10/2004)
Now I cannot go into full screen mode. Going into Start>Run>Cmd I
get the small Command Prompt window, but this is only so good. I can
access one of my DOS-based databases this way but the other I cannot.

Everytime I try to go to full mode I get a black screen with white
letters that say: "Cannot display this video mode."

I have tried updated my BIOS and this didn't change anything.
I tried changing this resolution, nothing.
I tried changing the buffer properties for the Command Prompt (mini)
window, nothing.

What NOW!

Have any ideas? It sounds like Intel made some not so go changes in
their update. Is there a registry setting or something I can change?

I would really love to fix this.

Best,
Philippe
