Video crash PP with PP2000 but not in PP2002!

I have one power-point presentation running well on my
Win2000-Power-point2002 system.

but when i run it on win98 power-point2000 some videos crash the sistem!

there are more video inside, mpeg and avi and some of them work fine in both
pc configuration.

but there are 3 videos (totally are 20) that crash always my
win98-powerpoint2000 system:

the problem is not to see the video, but the crash (i can see the video with
windowmediaplayer alone always).

I suppuse it'll be due to power-point2000 versus power-point2002:

Do you know problems about videos crash in this conditions?

This may be more to do with Win98 vs Win2000 than with PPT itself.

On the Win98 machine, go to Start/Run and type mplayer.exe Open and
play the problem videos in that player. Do they crash, or do they play?

This is the MCI Media Player, which is what PPT uses to play video. If
the videos play in it, they *should* play in PPT.
 
the videos go fine everywhere (win98-win2000-winXP)

the problem is PP2000 becouse with PP2002 there is no problem.

I also try to make a new presentation with only 1 dia, but it lock also the
same!

The video have the same codec and differs only for the bitrate...

Certanly is due to PP2000, i think becouse is more unstable....

Anyone same experience?
