I have a powerpoint presentation that has various video
clips embedded by selection movie from file. My problem
is when I take this presentation on the road, my video
clips drag very badly on some computers. I have changed
by clips from mpg to avi and still have the same
problems. I am told this has to do with the processor of
the computer I am using. How can I take this presenation
and feel confident that it will play correctly on any
computer I need to use.

I don't think you can. There could be many issues that affect the way
videos play. I think your best bet is to specify a minimum configuration
for the computers like software vendors do.

Gwen,

There really is no way to guarantee how well it works because of all the
possible hardware and OS combinations out there. If it is critical I
suggest using an older machine to develop/test on to determine what is
accepatable.

Gwen,

A scandisk and a defrag would help the videos play smoother
Also disable any unnecessary software from running in the background...e.g.
schedulers, virus scanners etc
