Video clip problem in Powerpoint 2000

I have been using Powerpoint 2000 for quite some time
with success for my presentations. All of a sudden, my
video clips do not work. I insert a "movie from file" and
it shows up on the slide. But when I try to play it, the
image disappears, both in the normal view and in
presentation view. Any suggestions? I am wondering if it
is a problem with Powerpoint, or with my media player.

What's changed recently on the system? Installed any software? QuickTime or
RealPlayer, perhaps?

Holler back if that doesn't help you resolve the issue. I suspect it's your
MCI settings.
