I have a client that wants to use a video clip in his ppt. the clip is a wmv
file and will play in media player when it is opened there but when put into
the ppt and then clicked a white box appears where the video should be. It
works on all my computers but not on his.

Can anyone make a suggestion on what to look for? I have made sure the link
is correct but can not get the video to play.

thanks

Possibly the path to the video is too long on his computer?

Does the video play in the mci (PowerPoint doesn't use Windows Media Player)

Start > Run >type in mplayer2.exe (mplay32.exe before XP)

He may want to reinstall windows media player which may also fix any
association problems in the mci.

Remember that powerpoint does no embed movies, it only links them. So if
the powerpoint file is copied, you must copy the wmv file with it.
