i want to have dual monitors so i installed a new video card. i could not
find one with 2 vga ports so i bought two (i didnt think you could run
motherboard and video card toegether??? it did work though with one card)

anyway
i experienced the problem i am about to describe before and gave up and
eventually fixed it and gave up on dual monitor but i am trying again(xp pro)

i install the video card and both monitors work fine (only 32 bit not true
color- what determines this) but now when i start up the system "hangs" on
applying network settings and then hangs only showing my desktop background
until i hit escape and then it will continue the rest of the boot sequence.

also (bigger problem)- it has caused problems with my ethernet- i am unable
to receive packets?? i have confirmed it is not a internet problem and had
the same problem before.

there is nor hardware problems shown in the device manager

please help i am pulling my hair out

Youre running on thin ice with that set-up...The add-in video card probably
has 128mb of memory as most do,youre MB graphics has only 8MB of true
memory, the board simply wont run that way.Get a PCI graphics video card
with 128MB if you simply must run 2 monitors..
