I recently tried to install a geforce II PCI video graphics card into my PC. Blindly following the directions, I went to start menu\control panel\system\device manager\display drivers and uninstalled the one that I found there: an integrated Intel driver that came with the pc. Then, still following the directions, I unplugged everything from the back of the computer, took off the cover, turned it on its side and... realized that I didn't have the right card. The only slots in my pc were not compatible with the PCI male ends on the card. Realizing then that I had made a terrible mistake, I quickly replaced the cover, and plugged everything back in, then turned the machine on. It acted like I had turned it off without shutting, sending me to the screen where I could choose to load windows in regular or safe mode. Thinking I had done something wrong earlier, I tried safe mode, only to receive a message saying that windows could not load because it could not locate a certain file. I tried to use the XP CD, but I didn't know how to use the repair option in C Prompt to reinstall the file I needed and I don't want to reinstall windows unless I have to. This is where I am at now, unable to load windows on my PC. So, if anyone can help me with this, or send me to someone who can, please let me know! Thanks a million!

You would be better off having your pc upgrades and repairs done by someone
who has experience . You obviously do not have the basic understanding of
what you are doing. Jym
