I have a problem. I recently bought a new Radeon 9200
graphics card for my computer. I installed the graphics
card, but after I plug all the cords and etc. back in and
connected the monitor to the graphics card, I switch the
computer on but the monitor does not turn on.

Can anyone please help me with this problem?

Rian,
What graphics card did you use before? If it was onboard you need to go
into your BIOS and change the VGA boot option to what type of slot your new
graphics card is in IE PCI or AGP. I would also suggest disabling your
onboard video in the BIOS.

If your old adapter uses the same slot as your previous adapter it is
possible you have a bad video card. Make sure the card is seated properly
in it's slot. Good Luck.

Suggestions:
--Did you supply the extra power to the Radeon? Do you have an adequate
power supply for all of your peripherals?
--AGP cards can be tricky to get seated all of the way. Check that the card
is fully inserted.
--If this system previously used onboard video, check that it is disabled.
Turning off onboard video may be a BIOS setting or it may involve changing
a jumper on the motherboard. Check your system documentation, if necessary.
--If possible, test that the monitor is still working on another system.
