I just started having a problem with need for speed underground after
playing for about 1/2 hour the picture turns into a mishmash of pixilation
where blocks of pixels change color and the only way I can get out of it is
by turning the computer off and then on again. I'm wondering if it is heat
related, the cpu temp gets up to about 50 celcius.

These are my specs:

Windows XP home with SP1
P4PE motherboard
2.4b P4 cpu
512 meg ram Crucial 1 stick
120 gig Western Digital WD1200jb-00cra1 HD
80 gig Maxtor 6L080L4 HD
Leadtek Ti4200 GeForce 4 video card
Soundblaster live value audio card
Plextor 48/24/48 cdrw
Toshiba sd-m1502 dvd drive
USR 56k pci voice modem
Enermax whisper 465 watt power supply
NEC FE700+ monitor
Canon S600 Printer
Canon D660U Scanner

Had the same problem when I tried overclocking my old
Geforce2 GTS. Are you overclocking it? Are there
heatsink strips on the video cards ram?

It shouldn't do this at stock speeds, but you might look
into better cooling on the video card. Some of the
cheaper brands use low end cooling solutions.

Thanks, I'm running everything at stock speed, there is a big heatsink on my
Leadtek G4ti videocard and a small fan, I'll check and see if it's working.

Thanks
Colin
