Ok you know on pci cards and agp cards, the metal part that you screw
in when you install the card? I think it's called a "plate"? The
flat piece of metal through which the connector protrudes...

I have a graphics card that doesn't have it's plate. How can I get a
replacement or secure it into the mobo? Do they sell general purpose
ones? It's really hard to google for...

If you go to a computer show, often you can find old video cards that
they practically give away.

Other than that, try finding a local computer store. They probably will
have several old cards you could try stealing the plate from; and would
sell you one cheap. Each card though seems to have a different position
on the plate for it's hole, depending on who made it and what day of the
week the engineer designing it got started; so matching holes could be a
bitch.

If it's an old card, then probably easier just getting another old card.

I have a few old card just lying around. What brand and model is your
card? If I have one that'll work for you I can send it to you.

I bet you could make one with plumber's tape and a drill.
