I have a user who is using the G450MMS setup without the hybrid display so he has each display as individual ones so that he can only have a single taskbar, which is the way he likes it. Recently we started setting the computers to kick off a screen saver and then lock the workstation after 60 minutes. One of the applications he uses spans across monitors 2 and 3 and when he unlocks his computer the application is only in monitor 2 and therefore he has to re-size the application again to cover monitors 2 and 3.

This issue has also been tested with NVidia and ATI video cards and have shown the same result. I have gone through the hardware manufacturers and you can see a post I placed with Matrox here.

If you have any ideas let me know.

Thanks

Have you tried the software manufacturer? Applications are not always
friendly to multiple monitor situations. They may have help to offer.

Another reference site for you is http:/www.realtimesoft.com
This is the home of MultiMon, a program designed to help the user smooth
over the wrinkles they may encounter while working with multiple monitors.
There are also user forums there. The expected section for MultiMon is
present but there are also general and technical multiple monitor
discussion sections as well.

Someone at those forums may be familiar with the application in question.
They may be able to offer tips, workarounds or tell you if MultiMon can or
can't help with getting that application to continuously span all 3
monitors.

It isn't one application but multiple applications that it happens with.
Also one thing to note is that it is only when each monitor is treated as
individual monitors not when they are spanning.

Sorry if I misunderstood the issue. I feel that the realtimesoft.com forums
would still be worth a lookover. It is an excellent depository of
information for these types of configurations. I've found many solutions
there for my multiple monitor setup. I hope that you are as lucky.
