I bought a Hercules 3D-Prophet 64MB, PCI, for my older motherboard ASUS
P/I-P55T2P4 rev 3.0.

I have a system with :

AMD K6-II 400MHz
4x32MB EDO = Total 128 MB
Samsung HD 10GB
AT PSU 230W

Latest beta bios 207, I followed Kalle's homepage instructions step-by-step

The 3d-prophet PCI card doesn't work in my system, only the older 3D Trio
64V+ card, why ? I get no signal in the monitor, I tried different bus
frequencies and PCI slots but without success.

What's going wrong ?

Thanks in advance

Does the pc emits beeps ? Did you tried it on another MB ?

No, it doesn't beep, just there ist no signal output to monitor. And yes, I
tried the video card in a more recent pc, and it works fine.

I think the problem is that my older mb has pci 2.1 slots, and the video
card is pci 2.2 (3.3 V) compliant, just doesn't work on older pci bus
revision's (2.0 and 2.1).

Bad news for me, I didn't know that when I bought it :((

thanks
