My wife's computer is still running a MX420 card which is not adequate for
Vista and I have a 6200 card in my machine which is adequate for Vista.

Since my wife doesn't do much except browsing, simple office documents and
very basic photo imaging and desktop publishing, I'm considering moving my
6200 card to my wife's desktop and getting another, possibly more advanced,
card for this machine.

The most demanding thing I do on this machine is OTA HDTV with BeyondTV and
some more advanced office work and image editing.

Neither of us do any gaming.

Would I see any difference in Vista or BeyondTV by putting a more advanced
video card in this machine?

Your 6200 card is probably VMR rendering. Also newer cards have better
de-interlacing and motion compensation support for 480i and 1080i programs.
I suggest a 7600GT in the NVIDIA line or a X1600 Pro in the ATI line.
