I just installed Windowes 2000 Pro. SP4 and the driver for
video card states it's not supported under the devices
driver. I tried an update and gives me no updates
available. Do I need to get a new video card or is there
another way around this? I'm getting tired of working on
my PC with 16 bit color format. Thanks

What graphics adapter?

Uhmm, its just me or did you install the same driver as you did before W2k
(might be my english)? Since drivers have to be both hardware and OS
specific, you might want to visit the manufacturer site and get a driver for
Windows 2000. Read the docs and follow the instructions step-by-step (no
matter how stupid they seem :)

Not all older cards are supported natively by Windows 2000, just larger
manufacturers and relatively better-selling cards. If the driver adds to
W2k's database and the driver still not lists it could be because it's not a
W2k driver (happens, some people I'd like to shoot rename NT4 drivers as NT4
and W2k) or because the card (or its installation) might be faulty.
