I need some advice on a video card for my system. I currently have a
Gateway GT5657E w/ 3 GB ram and a built-in nVidia 6150SE. The 6150SE
provides all the graphic power that I need. However, I do a lot of web
design work and programming work. What I would like to do is have 2
monitors so that I can have the source/development environment on one
monitor and the other could be running the window with the code I'm working
on.
What I would like is a dual-ported card that contains it's own memory so
that I could run 2 monitors without using(sharing) any system ram. That way
I could turn off the on-board 6150SE and reclaim the memory. Like I said
earlier, I don't need any graphics capability above that of the 6150SE. In
other words, I'm not a gamer.
Could someone suggest a card that would meet my needs?
Thanks in advance...
