Video Capture

I am trying to pull some video from an analogue camcorder via an ATI Radeon
card. While I can view and hear the video over my computer monitor, I am not
able to actually capture any of the video.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem is and how it can be solved?

Not sure what program your using but you may have to go in
the settings and choose/change the capture device.
Sometimes it will have many choices. It may even have a
choice for a web cam (if you have one) as a capture
device. You also would need to select NTSC if you in the
USA. Depending how your connected you may also need to
select S-Video or Composite (composite-AV or RCA jack)
