Hi,
I have some problem capturing a video from a tape camera, connected on
composite. I can only capture the video during a few seconds, then it stops.
This problem is not solve when I decrease the quality and the resolution of
the captured video.
Secondly, there is no sound during the few seconds I can record the video on
the computer. I plug the audio and video cables on the video card (I have a
TV tuner and composite plugs). When I have to choose the audio input, I can
only choose from the audio card.
Do someone can help me please?
Thanks for reply

Movie Maker will sometimes work with an analog connection but it is tedious
amd inconsistent.
Your best bet is to capture the video using the software that came with the
card.
This will create an MPEG file which you can then convert to AVI for use with
Movie Maker.

Ok, stupid question. How do I know which software came with the card. I just
purchased the computer

There should be software somewhere in the start menu for the TV card.
You eill have to search for it. Do you know what kind of card it is?

Same problem than Tracy, I don't have a software with my tv card, since I
bought it with computer. It's an Hp. However, it's a Radeon X300, so if you
know about a software for this card, please tell me!
thanks for help!

The Radeon X300 is a video card not a TV capture card according to the quick
research I did.
It has a SVideo port but that is for Video out to hook to a TV.

If you have a capture card installed by HP then you should be able to get
the software from them.
