I have a new Dell computer, a Dimension 2400 with a DVD Player. When I went
to capture video, an error said: "A video capture device was not detected.
Verify that a device is turned on and connected properly, and then try
again." What do I need to do to make my PC detect a video capture device?

Please provide more details about your setup, such
as what device you're trying to capture from, what
type of connection you're using, etc. The more
information you provide, the more likely that some
one will be able to help you.

What capture device are you tring to use? A dvd playeer is not a capture
device.

Interesting... I assumed the DVD Player was completely
irrelavant information, having nothing to do with Spin's
capture problem.

PapaJohn assumed that Spin was trying to capture from
the DVD Player.

And Rick assumed that Spin was trying to capture to
the DVD Player.

Really highlights the importance of a good problem
statement... :-)
