Video but no audio

On the set up window I have a Realtek AC97 Audio in the audio device box, that is all, No matter what I do I can't get audio. I get a great picture. Am using a S - Video cable. have sound when going to TV but not here??? help please.
 
Are you taking a cable from the audio out of the ?? to the line in of the
sound card on the pc? Otherwise fill in a bit more info of what it is and
exactly what leads you are connecting from where to where.

Did you ever get this issue solved? I too am having the exact same problem.
Sound from anywhere else, but when I'm in Movie Maker. Please let me know if
you found something that worked.

Hi Mark,

Did you solve the issue. I have an HP Media Center PC with an Realtek AC97
and I am trying to get video/ audio from a Hi-8 PAL videocamera into moviemkr
and the audio does no make it even though I connect it to the Line In on the
card.

any help from you or anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Plug the audio into the "line in" input on your soundcard,
and then go to

Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices

On the first tab, "Volume," under the section "Device
Volume," click on the "Advanced" button, select "Options"
from the menubar, and select "Properties."

Click the radio button marked "Recording."

Make sure you have "Line In" selected on the next panel.
