Does anyone know if it's possible to have a video running as a background
in PowerPoint, while having text and pictures animating over the top?

I know of 2 plugins that offer this but they are quite expensive and was
looking
for an alternative.

Thanks

Andy

Yes that is an interesting approach.

Unfortunately I was hoping for something involving less programming.

Will a video converted to a Flash movie do the trick?

Thanks

Andy

Andy,

ppt always plays 'media' (flash or video or anything) OVER the top of it's
own content.

So no, a flash video will not help.

You could have your video software put the text on top of the video - as
another option

Hi,
I am interested in this concept, as well. I followed the instructions on
the link, and they worked perfectly. However, I am asking about a couple of
other options, although I might be stretching here...
1) Is there a way to make the label/textbox background transparent whe
playing. By using the properties box, I can set it to transparent, but when
it plays, it shows a white background. Since there is no event tied to it in
the code, I am not sure how it would be programmed.
2) Is there a way to change the text based on timing?
What I am trying to achieve is a video bakground with music, showing the
lyrics without detracting from the video. In this case, a white background
just doesn't get it.

Thanks.
