Having read the article by Austin Myers on Sonia Coleman's
site (my thanks to both of you), I want to check the
validity of my conclusions and ask a question. My
conclusion is that if I want to package a presentation on
a CD for distribution, there's no way (besides becoming a
programmer) to pack a video viewer that will play the
video carrying its own CODECs... in other words, a self-
contained apparatus that is independent of the host
computer's OS. Chances are, however, that an MPG video
will work on the majority of computers. Am I correct?
My question: To convert VHS to MPG - what hardware and
software is recommended?
