video 1 d-sub

Some times on my flat panel monitor i will get this message video input 1
d-sub. It seems like it happens when i go to lunch break and come back. How
do i get that message from coming up. I have a nec flat panel monitor

You are set to 'auto-detect' analog or digital input. The panel has buttons
for changing settings to always use one or the other.
