VIAHyperion4in1450v recalled ?

hi

i'm new here, a few days ago i went to viarena and found these drivers
for version VIAHyperion 4in1 v4.50

but now the webpage is back to v4.49, what gives ?

will i get any problems with windows xp if i install them ?

thanks for any info
 
Hi, yes they have, file system issues with ATI cards and over 1g ram......

www.viaarena.com now has v4.51 up. They claim to have fixed the issues with
v4.50 with this new version.
 
Hi, althought I'd wait until others have tested them after the 4.50
debuncle...

Hi, 4.51 is out now and installed for me, but it was scarry when XP locked
up at about 99% install finished. It took hard reset]and I thought Oh No!
but XP started and 4n1 version shows up installed and working OK.

Oh yea, here's a link to 4.51

CHIP FIRM VIA has released an upgrade to its Hyperion 4in1 drivers, a day
after it withdrew the previous rev because of compatibility problems.

Version 4.51 supersedes version 4.50, which the company admitted yesterday
had some glitches.

The driver upgrade can be found here.
