via rev 5 USB host controller

I have Windows XP Pro and require a "via rev 5 or later USB universal host
controller" in order to take advantage of a Belkin hi-speed hub that I
purchased recently. It seems that my version of win xp does not contain this
software (I checked system properties). Can anyone suggest how I can
download this or purchase whatever is needed? Many thanks.

Version 5 is the driver version (and the firmware version) of the USB
port. It sounds like you did not update your motherboard drivers (a
mortal sin--REPENT, REPENT!!!!)

Go to VIAs website, http://www.viaarena.com and get the drivers there.
